ShelfPod

Terms of Use

Effective date: June 14, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of ShelfPod, an iOS podcast client for connecting to an Audiobookshelf server that you choose.

Use of ShelfPod

You are responsible for the Audiobookshelf server, account, content, and network connection that you use with ShelfPod. You must have the right to access and play the content available through your configured server.

Audiobookshelf Servers and Content

ShelfPod is an independent client app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Audiobookshelf unless separately stated. ShelfPod does not host your podcast files or operate your Audiobookshelf server. Server availability, content, user permissions, and data retention depend on the server operator.

Paid Features

ShelfPod may offer paid features through Apple in-app purchase, including a monthly subscription and a lifetime unlock. Paid features may include support for multiple libraries, automatic downloads, cross-device playback sync features, dock customization, queue-based automatic downloads, and related enhancements shown in the app.

Subscriptions

If you purchase a monthly subscription, payment is charged to your Apple Account after you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.

Any free trial or introductory offer is shown in the app and Apple's purchase sheet at the time of purchase. If you cancel during a trial, access continues according to Apple's subscription rules for that offer.

Lifetime Unlock

A lifetime unlock is a non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks eligible paid features for the Apple Account used for the purchase, subject to App Store rules and continued app availability.

Refunds and Billing

Billing, subscription management, family sharing eligibility, taxes, refunds, and payment processing are handled by Apple under Apple's terms and policies. ShelfPod cannot directly cancel subscriptions or issue App Store refunds outside Apple's process.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ShelfPod to access content unlawfully, interfere with servers or networks, bypass access controls, or violate the rights of others. You are responsible for complying with laws and with any rules set by the operator of your Audiobookshelf server.

Availability and Changes

ShelfPod may change, add, or remove features over time. Some features depend on iOS, Apple's StoreKit, your network, and the Audiobookshelf server version and permissions. ShelfPod is provided without a guarantee that every server or content item will work in every environment.

Disclaimer

ShelfPod is provided "as is" to the maximum extent permitted by law. The developer disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except where such disclaimers are not allowed by law.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, content, profits, or access resulting from your use of ShelfPod.
